I have been married to my husband for 47 years.  We have two grown daughters and 3 grandchildren (2 girls and 1 boy).  I worked most of my married life and retired almost 3 years ago.  I really enjoy being retired so my husband and I can enjoy our grandkids, camper, biking, our garden and my flowers.  I will be unable to attend our reunion, but will be thinking of all of you.

Althoff Sharon

Seems like the last 50 years has gone by fast.  We celebrated our 50th anniversary June 26.  We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.  I've worked most of those years at 3M in Pine City.  My husband retired from being a truck driver.  We now enjoy our time together and our grandchildren.  I babysit them during the week as both parents work.  I'm not in a rush to get things done like I used to be.  Life is too short, enjoy the things you love.  Hope to see you at the reunion.   I plan to attend

Anderson Sharon I really do not have that interesting of a life!  I am now a true Iron Ranger as I have been here over 40 years now-guess I am stuck!  I am now going on 14 years that I have worked for the Eveleth Housing Authority as an administrative assistant.  I also live here.  I only work from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Just before Christmas (22nd in fact) I had by-pass surgery.  Cheryl Olson happened to call me just days before I was going to be having the surgery and put my very nervous mind a little at ease.  Of course she continues to check up on me.  As most of you know, I have 2 children Christopher who is 43 and Janeece who is 42,   Janeece has never married but is in a very serious relationship and we love Mike.  Christopher and his wife have blessed me with three grandchildren.  Kyle 26, Dalton 22, and Morgan 18 who will graduate this spring from high school.  She was just selected for the winter royal court so we are excited about that.  Kyle works in Virginia and has a lovely girlfriend.  My Dalton made us all proud last spring when he graduated from UMD after only 3 years and in computer engineering,  Dalton has fallen madly in love with a classmate who still has 2 years of college left.  She is going into Psychiatry - some say we are the perfect family she should start with!!!  I rarely get to Rush City but plan to be home for our class reunion if at all possible.

I met my wife Sue at Bethel College. We've been married 45 years, living in New Haven, Connecticut (where I went to seminary), Iowa, Nebraska, and for the last 28 years in Washington DC. We have 2 sons living in DC, and 2 daughters (in Florida and North Dakota). Our 4 kids have blessed us with 9 wonderful grandchildren (including triplets), and another on the way. We haven't quite learned how to retire - Sue still works as an oncology nurse; I'm a pastor and also run a nonprofit (City Gate) that I started 15 years ago to serve low income families and children.

Lindstrom Jim

I graduated from Augsburg College and studied at the Post Graduate level at University of Wisconsin at River Falls, University of Minnesota and the University of Oslo in Oslo Norway. I had the opportunity to study under Knut Nystedt a prominent composer from Norway who was Knighted by the King of Norway for his work in choral music. I taught at Forest Lake Area High School for 39 years and also directed choirs and played organ at several  churches during the same time. I currently started a new job as organist and accompanist at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Woodbury. I have been married for 28 years to Sue and we have twin daughters who are 22 and just graduated from the U of M  with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Japanese. They are both working in labs at the U and both would like to go to Medical School. As you can tell, I started very late in life with a family, but really love both of our daughters and the accomplishments they have achieved throughout their school lives. Sue was in the marketing field and also the health care industry. During my teaching career I was the Chief Negotiator for the teachers for 28 years. I also served on the Minnesota Education Association Board of Directors for 20 years and also on the National Board of Directors for 3 years. Even though I retired from teaching, I studied and received my Health and Life Insurance license and also my license to sell Medicare products, which I am still doing in addition to playing the organ on Sunday mornings. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my family. I don't know if I will truly retire or not because I enjoy being busy. I feel bad that I haven't kept in touch with many of my high school friends and colleagues and hope to see you at the reunion.

I moved back to our Rush city in 1988, marrying a farmer the second time around.  Together we have 5 sons, but lost Jame in 2008.  I am still doing hair and selling wiggery to anyone who needs it.  I spend my Friday afternoons doing hair at our Golden Living Center, to cheer the folks as best I can.  Myron and I have begun to spend more time in Texas in the cold months, as we bought a nice little spot at Mission, Tx.  We love to fish in Canada once a year as we can and then hurry home so Myron can put up hay for our horse customers! I think my country farm living stuck with me!

In 1978 I built a roller skating rink in Rice Lake, Wis and another in Eau Claire, Wis, and operated them until 2005 (27 years). Nancy and I moved to Loveland, Colorado in 2001 (since we always both loved Colorado - we were engaged on top of Pikes Peak in 1979), there we owned an operated 4 Curves for Women fitness clubs. I also continued operating the roller rinks from a distance commuting there each week with my plane. We sold the fitness clubs in 2008. Since then I have retired. Nancy and I have been married 35 years and have 3 married children and 4 grand children which all live in the area: Loveland, Fort Collins and Denver, Colorado. I am so very sorry I can't attend this reunion. And I, like Jack said, am sad that so many (10) of our classmates have passed - it is a real eye opener for all of us, isn't it? Thank you Elaine for keeping us all informed and working so hard to keep putting together these reunions. I, for one, really appreciate it Elaine. Thank you!
